Congratulations to the Spring Class of 2026

Nursing graduates celebrate convocation and the start of professional journeys.

Today, 329 University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Nursing students celebrate a major milestone as they take the stage at convocation, completing their current academic journeys and stepping into the next chapter of their nursing careers.

The Spring Class of 2026 includes both undergraduate and graduate students, representing the following programs:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - 245
  • Post-Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing - 40
  • Graduate Certificate Foundations for Registered Nurse Specialty Practice - 5
  • Master of Nursing Professional Practice - 33
  • Master of Nursing Thesis - 4
  • Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing - 2

As they celebrate this milestone, this class joins a proud and growing network of more than 11,000 USask College of Nursing alumni, who have completed their education since 1938. This legacy reflects decades of leadership, compassion, and commitment to improving health care across Saskatchewan, Canada, and the world.

College of Nursing Dean Dr. Solina Richter (DCur) has this message for the graduates.

“Today, we celebrate not only your accomplishments, but the perseverance and dedication that brought you here. The journey has not always been easy, but through every challenge, you have demonstrated resilience, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to your future profession. No matter which program you completed or where you studied, I am confident in the strength of the nursing education you have received. I know you are well prepared to excel, and I have every confidence you will make a meaningful difference in health care, wherever your nursing path takes you.”

The Spring Class of 2026 reflects USask College of Nursing’s strong commitment to “learn where you live”, with students completing their programs in communities across the province and country.

Graduate students finished their studies from locations throughout Saskatchewan and across Canada, while BSN graduates celebrated their achievements in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Regina, La Ronge, Île-à-la-Crosse, Yorkton, and Lloydminster.

Together, this highlights the college’s dedication to accessible nursing education and preparing nurses to practice where they are needed most.
